Three named potions exist in Defeat Anime RNG: Luck Potions, XP Potions, and Gold Potions. All three appear as code rewards. The Release code grants 25 Trait Shards, 3 XP Potions, 3 Luck Potions, and 3 Gold Potions, and the UpdateTwo code grants 50 Trait Shards and 5 Luck Potions. Code quantities can change with updates, so check the current reward list in-game before redeeming.
What each potion is reported to do
Based on a widely circulated summary of the code rewards:
- Luck Potions — give rolls a better chance at rare animes and mutations.
- XP Potions — help you level faster.
- Gold Potions — help you buy things faster.
Treat these as role characterizations. Durations, multipliers, effect targets, activation controls, and stacking behavior for the potions are not established — the game's exact item tooltip text is what should settle those questions, and this page does not fill in the gaps. Read the item description in your inventory before deciding whether to use a potion.
How potions are obtained
Potions are distributed as code rewards:
- Release — 3 XP Potions, 3 Luck Potions, 3 Gold Potions (plus Trait Shards).
- UpdateTwo — 5 Luck Potions (plus Trait Shards).
The redemption path is currently inconsistent between player guides, so check which applies to your game version:
- One description has you open the game, find the code button, and type the code exactly — capitalization matters.
- Another describes redeeming codes only after unlocking Death Castle by spending 450K Coins, then clicking the Shop button, scrolling to the code redemption section, and entering the code in the "Enter code here" field.
Check your in-game UI for either a standalone code button or the Shop-based redemption section to find the path that works on your save.
What is not yet confirmed
No tested effects, activation controls, targets, durations, multipliers, or stacking rules are confirmed for any of the three potions — only code-reward quantities are documented.
